My rants on SGML, XML, structured documentation, film projection, and other stuff that I'm interested in. Oh, and there'll probably be some Linux, too.

FOP, Part Two
Sometimes it helps to complain, apparently. A day or two after my somewhat annoyed comment on FOP, the FOP team released an alpha from the development branch. Most of the properties I've missed in 0.20.5 are there, and seem to work. Ain't life grand?
I'm an IT consultant specialising in SGML, XML, and related standards. Structured documentation for those of you not in the know; something in computers for the others. I'm an avid reader and writer, currently obsessing on Ian Rankin's Rebus novels.
I'm also an erstwhile film projectionist, having worked in cinemas for the past 24 years. I love film technology, especially Dolby sound systems, 70mm projection, and other cool stuff that will soon be as rusty as the Titanic. It's a hobby, all right?
