My rants on SGML, XML, structured documentation, film projection, and other stuff that I'm interested in. Oh, and there'll probably be some Linux, too.

Black-and-White, Again
This B&W thing really bothers me. I screened George Clooney's movie about the McCarthy era, Good Night, and good Luck earlier tonight, and of course it had to be in black and white. It looked pretty good, admittedly, but still... Wasn't the world in colour then?
I'm an IT consultant specialising in SGML, XML, and related standards. Structured documentation for those of you not in the know; something in computers for the others. I'm an avid reader and writer, currently obsessing on Ian Rankin's Rebus novels.
I'm also an erstwhile film projectionist, having worked in cinemas for the past 24 years. I love film technology, especially Dolby sound systems, 70mm projection, and other cool stuff that will soon be as rusty as the Titanic. It's a hobby, all right?
